Middle School General Music
Middle school students have music once a week.  Students learn music in many ways at Sacred Heart Academy.  A few of the ways we learn is by performing, composing, listening, playing games, and using our classroom interactive white board.

Once students reach middle school, they also use iPads to research music history.

In the beginning of the school year, middle school students learn about subdivision.  Each students creates their own composition and will write in the subdivision of their composition.

Students in middle school grades study music in the categories listed below.

1) Performance and Production
2) Cultural Context and Music Theory
3) Analysis and Critique
4) Cross-Curricular Connection
